    Description

    You are bidding on a nice lot of ten (10) World Replica, restrike, and Counterfeit coins that represent the underside (darker) side of the Numismatic trade/hobby.
    THESE ARE NOT GENUINE NUMISMATIC ASSETS;
    and are being sold as collectible
    specimens illustrating the lengths Counterfeiters and others will go to market a (fake) numismatic asset for profit!
    This lot includes the following items:
    1 - July 23rd, 1086 St Helena * Ascension, 50 Pence coin with a depiction of Prince Charles and Lady Diana on the reverse field with the inscription "Royal Wedding * July 23rd 1086"
    {  vs the actual: The wedding of
    Prince Charles
    and
    Lady Diana Spencer
    took place on Wednesday, 29 July 1981,
    [1]
    at
    St Paul's Cathedral
    in
    London
    , United Kingdom..}
    and an obscure depiction of 'Queen Elizabeth II' mature head right at E.F. condition. NOT A GENUINE COIN, although it appears to be of silver composition but, I cannot guarantee that it is not a plated representation.
    1 - 1896 U.S. Morgan ??silver dollar coin that weighs only 0.6 oz vs actual coin weight of 0.9 oz; and this coin has wrong font lettering, the "R" in the Pluribus contacts the denticles on the rim on the obverse, the date is the wrong size (smaller than actual), the size and spacing on the lettering on the reverse is incorrect, the stars around the perimeter of the obverse are too small and filled with no definition...Probably a FAKE Chinese copy,
    1 - Circa 1509-1547 Great Britain, Groat coin { 4 d _ 2 penny } (good for a groat of beer) reproduction coin (obverse only) with a depiction of "Henry VIII with a small informational card included" at Good condition. This issue was intentionally fabricated for illustrative purposes only....
    1 - 1861 Confederate States of America, One cent restrike coin made from copied dies from originals. The copies dies produced coins with prominent die cracks and rust marks that are illustrative of the later restrikes made in 1961 by New York City coin dealer robert Bashlow (referenced in the Red Book, pg423 ( 2018 Edition). Rough condition.
    1 - 1866 Hong Kong, One dollar coin in ??? silver or silver plated composition with a depiction of "Edward VII King and Emperor" on the obverse field and a Chinese decorative lobe on the reverse at E.F. condition.
    This one is difficult to comprehend since Edward VII's reign was from 1901-thru 1910 and he was not the King and Emperor in 1866 (Victoria era 1837-1901) and Victoria was his mother.
    Possibly a marriage of two different dies from different eras???????
    1 - 1876-s U.S. Trader dollar coin that has wrong font lettering and obscure legend and logo depictions on the coin.....probably a crude Chinese fake!
    1 - MCMXCLIII (1943) Italia, 20 Lire Mussolini coin with a depiction of the dictator on the obverse and a depiction of a pillar with Lion right and the inscription:"better to live one year as a lion that 1000 years as a sheep" lower right . This is a
    "fantasy coin"
    and no such coin was issued by the Italian Government!
    1741 Spain (Peru cob), 8 Reales coin with 'colonial pillars and waves' on the obverse and a 'Jerusalem Cross" on the reverse with lions and castles in quadrants. Very similar to the authentic coin but, weighs it too light and not silver composition....nice specimen vs the very expensive original coin,
    1868 Espana, 5 Pesetas coin in silver (probably silver plate) with obscure features on the seated figure and stars on the obverse and wrong Crown on the reverse with the inscription "AG .999 1 oz"below. (dead give away)...pretty good for a coin that only weighs 0.6 oz !!!!!!
    1892-SG-v Espana, 5 Pesetas coin in silver (probably silver plate) with obscure features on the head of Alfonso XIII. This mint SG-V was only use on coins issued from 1897 and subsequent...not existent on an 1892 date coin.
