    WHITE RABBIT'S FAN ALICE IN WONDERLAND
    The White Rabbit approaches Alice. He is in search of his gloves and fan. Alice
    searches for them but cannot find them. The White Rabbit mistakes Alice for his
    housemaid, Mary Ann, and commands her to go to his house and fetch his gloves
    and fan. Alice is startled and a little afraid so she does as she is told.

    Alice is a fictional character and protagonist of Lewis Carroll's children's novel Alice's
    Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and its sequel, Through the Looking-Glass (1871).
    A child in the mid-Victorian era, Alice unintentionally goes on an underground adventure
    after accidentally falling down a rabbit hole into Wonderland; in the sequel, she steps
    through a mirror into an alternative world.
