    Description

You are bidding on a WWI Canadian 113th (Lethbridge Highlanders) Overseas Battalion (Bn) Cap Badge. The badge is used and is in good condition with limited signs of wear or age. The backside of the badge is unmarked and has both of its original lugs that are firmly attached and straight.
The 113th Bn (Lethbridge Highlanders), was an infantry bn of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF). The 113th Bn was authorized on 22 December 1915.
On 26 Sept 1916, the 113th Bn departed
    Canada
    aboard the SS Tuscania.
    Upon arriving in
    England
the battalion was taken to a holding camp at Sandling near Shorncliffe.
On October 12, 1916, the Bn proceeded to
    France
    arriving at a camp near
    Le Havre
    ,
    France
. Almost immediately the 300 men of the 113th were assigned as replacements to one of the most famous battalions in the CEF, the 16th Battalion (Canadian Scottish).
    The 113th bn was
disbanded on 1 September 1917. Be sure to check out my other auctions for more military collectibles. Good luck and happy bidding!
